This years Deva dub and rods show is nearly upon us. Shrewsbury Showground 6. 7. 8 June. We had a great turnout last year and it would be great to equal if not better this. With this being our local show, they would appreciate our support We have a prelimery booking for 15 pitches in club camping at the moment but this can easily be increased to accommodate additional members.

Those of you that are coming need to pre book your tickets for club camping, tickets vary in price as below

If you can let Gaz know your requirements he will make the appropriate arrangements. He will need your cash a.s.a.p so he can be sure of enough space in club camping. Those that don’t pre book cannot be guaranteed a pitch with the club, although we will do our utmost to fit you in.

In return for a club camping area, the organisers have requested a themed club display of a minimum of 5 vehicles up to a maximum of 10 in the main show arena on the Sunday morning. We have an idea for the theme, which is not going to be published but discussed at the next meeting, Wednesday 7th May, and we have 5 vehicles at the moment confirmed. I know most won’t want to have to sort their vans early so at the moment we have 4 bugs and a karmen ghia for the display

THE BUS STOPOVER JUNE 14, 15th 2008

Following the success of the first 2 shows, the third stopover should prove another hit. This is a more low key event and is set to become a must do show.

Advanced tickets are available until 1st June 2008.

• Sunday Day Visitor £5
• Children under 16 Free
• Free Camping

Club camping is not available at this show so those that want to go let Gaz know so he can arrange a cruise there on the Saturday morning and also arrange the tickets.

The cruise will be assembling at 11.00 at The Moat House Inn nr Alcester for a cruise to Stratford on Avon then back to the moat house for entertainment

Thanks to everyone that made the night and a special thanks to everyone who donated a prize for the raffle. Also we would like to thank Dean from the Bustypes VW show ( The Bustypes VW show ) Who donated 2 weekend tickets as a prize, we would also like to that the staff at the Red barn for the food and the use of the pub for the night, they made us all feel welcome and made a real big effort to make the night special.

down there, (only Coventry so not too far)

Jez told us the following,

'Unfortunately, I've had the pleasure of Old Salty's company for only
two very short hours; I flew to Washington State earlier this year to
try-and-buy, had a ten minute drive and an hour of poker-faced
haggling, before doing the deal and flying back home.
He's a '56 that started life in Wolfsburg in '55, before being carted
over to be finished in the newly-opened Hanover factory in '56.
He's just arrived in Sydney's docks where I exported him to, ready to
be turned into a mobile shop by the time I emigrate over to those
fine shores next year.
Here he is at one of only two shows that the previous owner has taken
him to for the entire time of his ownership; that's 400 miles a year
total!
He's straight as can be, and ready for some Porsche, IRS, and
tasteful meddling! Can't wait to cruise to the beach in
him......every weekend'

Okay peeps, as a lot of you know the Christmas party is on the 15th of December 7:30pm till late (well till we get kicked out!)

We are looking at holding a small raffle to rasie money for the club and for the Ben Bosworth memorial fund. So if any of you peeps have anything you would like to donate then please let us know

Can you please raise your hands so that we know how much food we will need to cater for (We know not every member uses the forum so if you could inform other club members of the party etc)
