John’s 67 LHD split screen camper.
Posted on February 23rd, 2008 Members' RidesJohn is one of the lucky DUBtypes members to own a splitty.
The bus started out as an EZ camper with an intact interior,
John and his firend started to strip the bus down and repaint it,

Here is a picture of the bus as it looks now,

Cool init?

Jez’s Split screen micro bus.
Posted on November 12th, 2007 Members' RidesDid you expect anything less from Jez?
Jez told us the following,
‘Unfortunately, I’ve had the pleasure of Old Salty’s company for only
two very short hours; I flew to Washington State earlier this year to
try-and-buy, had a ten minute drive and an hour of poker-faced
haggling, before doing the deal and flying back home.
He’s a ‘56 that started life in Wolfsburg in ‘55, before being carted
over to be finished in the newly-opened Hanover factory in ‘56.
He’s just arrived in Sydney’s docks where I exported him to, ready to
be turned into a mobile shop by the time I emigrate over to those
fine shores next year.
Here he is at one of only two shows that the previous owner has taken
him to for the entire time of his ownership; that’s 400 miles a year
total!
He’s straight as can be, and ready for some Porsche, IRS, and
tasteful meddling! Can’t wait to cruise to the beach in
him……every weekend’How jealous are you now? We know we are.

Sayed of Batts Bugs.Volksworld show was her maiden voyage in 2004,
Ghia’s like this are few and far between.

Roger’s t25 camper
Posted on August 9th, 2007 Members' RidesRoger is one of our North Shropshire Members. He has owned the bus for about 18 months now and is loving the “getting to know your bus feeling”. Since he’s owned the bus (to date) he has done the following,
Most of the exhaust
1 exhaust manifold stud
Damn good service.
Strip out nasty blue foam back carpet interior, floors walls, ceiling etc etc – thankless task
Replaced rubbers round door windows
Various clips, switches etc
New main battery (2nd battery not long for this world either)
All 4 springs (leading to inadvertent raising of the van) & arm on front suspension
New front seats
Re upholstered interior (about 80% there) in 2 tone suede & serious 70’s fabric
Insulate
Alter & Repaint interior
Rebuild R’n’R bed
Roller seatbelts in rear
Jailbars
Laminate floor
Recarpet front
DVD, 8 speaker hifi & 19” screen – another thankless task, days & days of skinner knuckles pulling wires through
Rewire internal mains side
As you can tell he’s put his mark on the bus!
He also has some plans for the bus,
“Soon to be fitted Porsche cookie cutters & a new back bumper
Overdue for some exterior cosmetics
Roof rack in the making
Replace sink pump
Finish making upper sleeping platform”
Take a look at the pics,
