John's 67 LHD split screen camper.
John is one of the lucky DUBtypes members to own a splitty.
The bus started out as an EZ camper with an intact interior,
John and his firend started to strip the bus down and repaint it,

Here is a picture of the bus as it looks now,

Cool init?
Oh and here is a picture of John in the driving seat!!!

Nice shades mate.

Jez's Split screen micro bus.
Did you expect anything less from Jez?
Jez told us the following,
'Unfortunately, I've had the pleasure of Old Salty's company for only
two very short hours; I flew to Washington State earlier this year to
try-and-buy, had a ten minute drive and an hour of poker-faced
haggling, before doing the deal and flying back home.
He's a '56 that started life in Wolfsburg in '55, before being carted
over to be finished in the newly-opened Hanover factory in '56.
He's just arrived in Sydney's docks where I exported him to, ready to
be turned into a mobile shop by the time I emigrate over to those
fine shores next year.
Here he is at one of only two shows that the previous owner has taken
him to for the entire time of his ownership; that's 400 miles a year
total!
He's straight as can be, and ready for some Porsche, IRS, and
tasteful meddling! Can't wait to cruise to the beach in
him......every weekend'
How jealous are you now? We know we are.

Jez's Ghia
This is one cool car.
Jez's Ghia 'Lola' is a '68 from Los Angeles.
Bare-metal restoration, Rolls hide, Jag pile, Momo, 914 wheels, 911 5-
fin fan cooling a bespoke 1776 with Dellorto 40's, Mofoco 042 head,
Engle cam and other sundry fun items, put together by the maestro
Sayed of Batts Bugs.
Volksworld show was her maiden voyage in 2004,
Ghia's like this are few and far between.

Roger's t25 camper
Roger is one of our North Shropshire Members. He has owned the bus for about 18 months now and is loving the "getting to know your bus feeling". Since he's owned the bus (to date) he has done the following,
Most of the exhaust
1 exhaust manifold stud
Damn good service.
Strip out nasty blue foam back carpet interior, floors walls, ceiling etc etc – thankless task
Replaced rubbers round door windows
Various clips, switches etc
New main battery (2nd battery not long for this world either)
All 4 springs (leading to inadvertent raising of the van) & arm on front suspension
New front seats
Re upholstered interior (about 80% there) in 2 tone suede & serious 70’s fabric
Insulate
Alter & Repaint interior
Rebuild R’n’R bed
Roller seatbelts in rear
Jailbars
Laminate floor
Recarpet front
DVD, 8 speaker hifi & 19” screen – another thankless task, days & days of skinner knuckles pulling wires through
Rewire internal mains side
As you can tell he's put his mark on the bus!
He also has some plans for the bus,
"Soon to be fitted Porsche cookie cutters & a new back bumper
Overdue for some exterior cosmetics
Roof rack in the making
Replace sink pump
Finish making upper sleeping platform"
Take a look at the pics,
A nice ride that has potential

Hurler's '72 Early Bay K reg , Dormobile conversion
As you can guess, Hurler is getting himself a nice collection now.
As you can see he's got his work cut out. Still if he does this bus to the same standard as his Beetle, you'll be seeing this in the show and shine.
Nice Bus mate.

Matt's 1963 Beetle
Matt's Original 1963 vw beetle, 1200cc, L360 Seablue.
Matt writes;
My dad saw the advert of the car advertised in the Shropshire star (Friday
August 11th).
Then secretly went to view the bug with my family at Halls auction house
Then went on to the sale on the 27th and was lucky enough to buy it.
Therefore it was a very big surprise when they brought it home and then dad
Dropped the keys into my hand and said "It’s yours".
As you can imagine, Matt is over the moon!
The Beetle is in original condition (with faded paint :) ) and it's a one owner from new.
Have a look at the pictures.

Jinx's slammed 67 split.
Bought by jinx and kel in 2002 to accommodate the expected family!
In pretty much the guise it is now - well externally any how!
Since the pictures were taken a few things have changed!
Internally it has a homemade camping interior based on a 'Bay' Devon Moonraker with a 2 ring hob, grill and oven. It also has a propex gas heating system, for those cold camping nights!
It has up front:-
Dropped king and link pin spindles,
Creative Engineering adjusters,
Porsche vented disk brakes,
Porsche 356c 4 1/2" x 15 wheels shod in 165/50/15 tires
At the back it has received;-
A 'straight axle' conversion (1500 bug box),
Porsche disks again and '944 steel wheels 185/65/15 all pushed by a standard configuration type 4 1800 built by Andy Clarke from the FLF4'S VW club in Telford.
It's been lowered, as nesisated by the removal of the reduction boxes during the gearbox conversion and currently stands at a towering 63" to the gutter!!!
Rev counter and temperature gauge have been added to keep an eye on things that go squish and bang!
An alloy side step and a Creative Engineering roof rack have been added for practicality
It’s currently enjoyed by all the family for holidays and weekend breaks as well as a few VW shows
Future plans include some new duct tape for the door bottoms!
One of the lowest/coolest/rattiest Split buses you'll ever see, simply........awesome

Pugwash's 55 plate Bay camper.
Made by VW Brazil, imported by Beetles UK as a people carrier with a three person bench seat across the back, first registered Dec 2005.
The Work was done by Beetles UK, converted to RH drive (though Pugwash did have to weld the gear stick back together after their welding failed), fitted independent Webasto petrol heater (they don't need heaters in Brazil) also fitted heated front and rear windows and re-sprayed lower half of body. All underbody undersealed.
Engine is a 1600cc air-cooled flat four, fuel injected and fitted with catalytic converter, average fuel consumption 29/30 m.p.g. Front disc, rear drum brakes.
Pugwash started on the fit out last year and now have enough done for the odd night away, the grand plan is to complete it this year, time and money permitting.
One cool ride.
