£110.00 raised for the Ben Bosworth memorial fund.

The 2006 VW show season kicked off in style with the Bus-types show at the Oswestry showground in Shropshire on the 21/22/23 of April. Jinx (Jeremy mansell) thought it would be a great idea to put two weekend tickets up for auction on the Midlands online community, www.volkstorque.co.uk to raise so money for the Ben Bosworth memorial fund. So with the tickets at the ready and a starting bid of £22.00, we let the good people of the forum bid.

After nearly a week of bids the tickets went to the owner of volkstorque Roadrunna, for a wonderful amount of £40.00. This was not the end of the fund raiser. We had three £10 donations from three active users off the forum, ol bluey, the girl wiv no bug and me (marmite_on_toast). We also had an anonymous donation of £40.00 matching the amount the tickets went for.
The tickets where handed over to Roadrunna at the show. We did get a picture of him but it’s not a good idea to show them!

DUBtypes meet is now moving.

Hello to you all. After 12 months of Thursday night Karaoke we have all had enough!!
We sent out a questionnaire to find out what you all thought about the club and the meeting. So after reading all the returned questionnaires it looks as though a Wednesday night slot looks like a winner and according to you lot you want to see more of us!?!?!

So write it on the back of your hand as of May 2006 the DUBtypes VW club will now run on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The meeting time will stay the same 8pm.
A massive thank you to you all who took part and took the time in filling out the questionnaire, as for the people who still have not had chance to fill the questionnaire, don’t through it away we still need to know what you think about the club and the way it is run.

New Air cooled VW garage in shropshire

Okay, i went for a little drive today. i went all the way to Rednal.
